It’s always hard to say goodbye but . . .

We are retiring!

We’ve very much enjoyed being part of the community in and around Attleborough for the past 23 years, but we’ve now reached the time of our lives when we want to release ourselves from the responsibility of running a shop. Closing down was never something we wanted to do but, since the pandemic, everything has been more challenging and energy-draining and our desire is to end well whilst we both have the health and capacity to do so.

Whilst we are sad that Nuts ‘n’ Bolts will be disappearing from the High Street we are very grateful for all the opportunities it’s given us to serve the town and provide employment to numerous adults and young people. We are very thankful for everyone who’s been a part of our Nuts ‘n’ Bolts team and helped us build a good reputation for helpful friendly service.

We also want to say a huge thank you to all the many loyal customers who’ve supported us over the years – we couldn’t have done it without you!

We are having a Clearance Sale to dispose of our stock by the end of the year so please continue to support us and take advantage of many discounted prices. Whilst we are still trading, our key-cutting and carpet machine hire services will continue as normal and we will do our best to keep a stock of our basic essential products for as long as possible but, for many items, it’s going to be a case of ‘When it’s gone, it’s gone!’

We pride ourselves on our personal customer service especially if you’re trying to find the right product for a particular job. Our aim is to provide quality middle-of-the-range products that represent good value for money.

Nuts ‘n’ Bolts is a family run business which we, David and Hilary, started in October 2000 when we took over a similar business. David’s previous working background in trade and retail building supplies along with his DIY passion for renovating houses have combined to give him excellent product knowledge. He uses this expertise in his role as buyer to source a huge range of tools and essential products for all those everyday household projects – whether cleaning, cooking, decorating, gardening, basic plumbing and electrics or painting the fence. Hilary’s main role is office administration and human resources. We are supported by an excellent and loyal staff team who are well-known to our regular customers.
